The Modern Christ Experience and the Knowledge Drama of the Second Coming

I could complete the new edition of my first book, The New Experience of the Supersensible (written in 1990 and published 1995), only after 30 years. Through these years, I have tried several times to compel myself to seat down to write it. But it proved fruitless. I could only do so after I reached- and passed- my 63 age. This is simply a fact of life, and no one will contest this, if he really experienced it, on any external, intellectual and theoretical grounds. Namely, as Rudolf Steiner says, that the life periods you pass thorough become organs of higher states of consciousness and spiritual perception, and that you cannot attain certain perceptions before you reached certain ages. You learn this only in real life, as you grow older, naturally, only if you continue to develop. It becomes absolutely real.
Those of my students who will master the energy would be able to experience this, when they study the new edition of “The New Experience of the Supersensible”, called, "The Modern Christ Experience and the Knowledge Drama of the Second coming”, that will be published in 2024. They would see, for example, how in volume 3, I describe the gradual spiritualization of the physical body, that must go through an prolonged and intense confrontation with the third form of evil active in the reproductive and metabolic-limb systems. I point out there to the fact that I could only do this, after I posted my 63 age, in which the forces of Saturn become available, that stimulate, on the one hand, the germination of the deeply hidden forces of Spirit Man in the physical body, and on the other, bring about a totally new experience of the forces of karma. You would be able to grasp this if you review the abbreviated contents of the third volume, that describe the second part of the knowledge drama of the Second Coming.
We can understand this challenge better, if we listen to what Rudolf Steiner said about his own development. For example in regard to his investigations off the threefold nature of man, that serve also as foundation to the new art of education, he said in Oxford that
It seems to me a good fate that not before 1919 did it fall to me to take on the direction of the Waldorf School — founded that year by Emil Molt in Stuttgart…. And the reason is this: before that time I should not have dared to form a college of teachers consisting so largely of men and women with a knowledge of human nature — and therefore of child nature — as I was able to do that year. For, as I have already said, all true teaching, all true pedagogy must be based on knowledge of human nature. But before one can do this one must possess the means of penetrating into human nature in the proper way. Now, — if I may say so — the first perceptions of this entering into human nature came to me more than 35 years ago… It is in the nature of spiritual truths that they must be carried with a man on his way through life, they must be lived with before they can fully develop. Thus I should never have dared to utter to other men certain truths about the nature of man in the form in which they came to me more than 35 years ago. Not until a few years back, in my book “Riddles of the Soul” did I venture to speak of these things for the first time. A period of thirty years lay between the first conception and the giving out of these things to the world. Why? Because it is necessary to contemplate such truths at different stages of one's life, they have to accompany one throughout different periods of life.
